What is Kallah?
Kallah is our annual gathering in rustic Wisconsin where we can enjoy a Shabbat weekend in a beautiful setting, away from the hustle and bustle of our hometowns. We will be returning to the Perlstein Resort Center in Lake Delton, Wisconsin, just outside the Dells, where we will share our thoughts and ideas on matters of interest in our Jewish community, and on matters not so serious. We will learn, pray, socialize and eat together as spring returns to this countryside setting. The dress is strictly casual and the food is plentiful.

Activities
The weekend begins on Friday with candle lighting, Kabbalat Shabbat services, and dinner, followed by games and sports for the young people and a discussion session for adults. We’ll start out our Saturday with breakfast and Shabbat services, lead by our teens and congregants.  After lunch we will have a choice of different sessions to learn, share and explore ideas on topics lead by our members, and in the late afternoon we will have our Ultimate Frisbee Game. After dinner we will settle in for our traditional talent show followed by delicious and fun cookie decorating and some NEW activities for Grown ups afterwards! On Sunday, we plan to have more study and fun sessions. We conclude the Kallah with Sunday lunch and songs.

There will be supervised children’s activities including games, crafts and Gaga during the weekend. We ask that each parent volunteer one hour per child (age 10 and under) during the weekend to help supervise the kids’ activities.

Weekend Costs

The cost for the entire weekend, including rooms with private baths, six kosher meals, snacks and more, is $250.00 per adult (plus $20 for single room occupancy), $150.00 for teenagers, and $100.00 for children through 7th grade rooming with their parents. If the cost of Kallah is a challenge for you and your family please contact Carol Serber or Rabbi Glick who have access to limited scholarship funds. To reserve a space, please complete the Kallah registration form and return it with your check for the full amount to the Temple office no later than March 26.

  • EARLY BIRD SPECIAL! Receive $10 OFF PER PERSON if you register by February 26, 2017.
  • SPECIAL FIRST TIME FAMILY PRICING! First time Kallah attendees’ children (7th grade and under) free with a paying adult!
